Many share Bowler-of-the-Week Kudos!

Congratulations to JEFF LIND who earned the Bowler-of-the-Week kudos with 254-710, however, there were three other bowlers deserving of Bowler-of-the-Week honors ...

Alice Hudson threw a solid 235 game (her highest ever) and 589 series; Freddie Wedro (129 average) came out of the gate with 207 and Brian Gawlowski who shot 245, 225, 202 for a near 700 finish at 672. Congratulations to all of you!

Three Share Bowler-of-the-Week on January 17th!

Yes sir'ee!  Jeff, Ed and Josh
share the top honors this week!

Congratulations to ED TROICKE, JEFF LIND and JOSH KENDALL who all deserved the Bowler-of-the-Week honors!  Ed shot 257-729, Jeff shot 258-717 and Josh shot 279-692!  Nice bowling guys!!!!


Other top bowlers included: Jim Wedro 221, Jeanette Wiley 179, Ken Comtois 246, Lynne Weir 191-542, Julie Lind 178, Brian Gawlowski 214-578, and Ted Hudson 232.

It seems as though we are repetitive naming one or more of the same bowlers, but this year they deserve the kudos!  These three are our top three bowlers with Ted Hudson and Liz Pratt following close behind!  The rest of us just strive for one or more great games to get us listed in the "other top bowlers" listing :)

We are sad to lose Lorrie McLaughlin this week due to a rotator cuff injury that is preventing her from finishing the year out.  If you know of another bowler who may be interested in joining us for the last group of weeks we would love to have them.  Altho they wouldn't be able to win prize money for individual awards, they would still be able to earn team awards and points for second half.  Let us know if you have anyone interested and be sure to bring them next week.

New Year Starts Off With 747 for Ed!

Congratulations to ED TROICKE for earning Bowler-of-the-Week kudos with his 265-747 night.

Other top bowlers included: Josh Kendall 232-630, Jeff Lind 234-624, Lynne Weir 202-573, Mary Magee 149, Freddie Wedro 169, Ted Hudson 213, Ken Comtois 225-633, Liz Pratt 244-615 and Matt Hoyt 237-670.

We are two weeks into the second half and team stats are close. But then again, they usually are until we get to the eight-week position round.  

A reminder for all bowlers - regarding bad weather.  The officers are conscious of your safety at all times and should we encounter weather that is unsafe, we will cancel bowling for the night.  Captains, please make sure you have an accurate listing of your bowlers telephone numbers.  I will pass around a sheet next week so we can have an up-to-date listing.  Should bowling be cancelled, we will add it to the end of the season or vote on a "double-header" bowling night. Officers will contact team captains and captains will contact their bowlers.

 

 

It was fun to celebrate two birthdays on Saturday night - Charlie and Betty (aka Ma).  Thank you to Alice and Mary for providing yummy cake to share.
